Does anyone know if you can remove the pump from the shoulder bag in a Medela pump in style advanced? I know it's not an easy-out type of thing, but there's a lot of velcro inside the bag so I figure it's doable. Before I start I want to make sure I am not setting myself up for an absolute disaster.

I'm trying to bring it along on a trip for a friend, and I want the pump to take up as little room as possible in my suitcase.
