Son having issues at school- need help

My son is in kindergarten, and for a few years my husband and I have felt he has ADHD. My husband suffers from it and had a very difficult time in school, and sure enough, my son seems to be having the same issues my husband did. My son is a very loving boy but has a tough time concentrating, sitting still and some problems with spontaneous aggression (hitting friend in chest, stepping on a child's hand, yanking a child's arm). The teacher has called his behavior "violent", put him at a table all alone in class and has restricted his recess. This child needs to get his energy out! We follow the Feingold diet with him, give him supplements (fish oil, magnesium, zinc, B6 and the homeopathic Attend). We are seeing improvements but incidents are still occurring. The pediatrician doesn't want to test him yet because of his age. The teacher seems fed up with him and has him labeled as a problem child. BTW- academically he's right on target. My question is- what can I do to help him more? His self-esteem is so low now it's sad. I don't know what I can say to this teacher anymore and it's causing tension between us. ANY advice would be so appreciated.
