I need book recommendations for my dd...

She turns 10 next month and has asked for books in English. We are a Swedish/American family, so she can read in both languages, but I'm kind of out of the loop on what might be popular at home (USA) for girls this age right now. She loves animals and really girly stuff, she's not tom boyish at all. She reads on level for her age. I've ordered a few Judy Blume books, but not all of them are age appropriate yet. Just wondering if there is a series or author that is wildly popular for girls this age right now? Thanks so much for any input!
