my daughter (11 in July) was hanging out with her best friend (who is our landlord's daughter - they live upstairs) she is 11 in august - anyway - she was listening to Z100 -which is a popular radio station here but for older kids - probably teens and above - they play a lot of rap, r&b - urban type music - what I would deem inappropriate for their age - I told my daughter she is not allowed to listen to that station and if her bf is listening to it - then she has to come downstairs - she listens to me - I told my neighbors that i thought the station was inappropriate and while they agree - they are very permissive with their daughter and are not a pro-active.

I was just wondering if anyone else limits what their kids listen to -

before the neighbor played this stuff for my dd she was happy listening to radio disney, now she feels like she's missing something
