OK, back to the note...
All of the parents were asked to put together a "safety bag" for their kids in case of an emergency. We needed to put things in it like bottled water, individually wrapped (non-perishable) snacks, flashlights, extra diapers and wipes (the school does provide them normally), etc., in case they have to evacuate or lock down and seal the building. They have enough food on-hand for about 3 days (they also provide the kids' meals and snacks, so they have a full kitchen, etc.). I know it's a good thing to have them prepared, but it honestly scares the crap out of me.
Just wondering if anyone else has gotten anything similar from their schools.
