Hi. I'm new here. My six-year-old son was just diagnosed with PDD-NOS and I'm trying to get as much information/support as I can. His father and I are separated and he tends to be in denial about these sorts of things, so I sort of feel like I'm on my own.

My son, Stephen, was a very difficult baby, screaming almost non-stop. It was so bad, I needed a vacation when he was around 1 month old or else I was going to go off the deep end, lol. He had a lot of hitting behaviors and other behavioral issues (which I was usually blamed for). He has been on melatonin for sleep since the age of 10 months, and it really helps him (before that, if he slept 2 hours in a row, it was a big deal). He had some issues with gluten and casein (which seem to have resolved) and has sensory sensitivities. I'm sure there's more, but I don't want to bore anyone, lol.

I look forward to reading about other people's triumphs and tribulations.

Rachel
