I met a lady today that actually puts together and publishes a magazine for special needs families. We got to talking about my aspie son (which was wandering around the bookshelves near us) and I noticed she kept looking at my 2 yr old next to me. It finally dawned on me that she thought I was talking about my two yr old. I sd no my 9 YR OLD has aspergers. She sd that my two yr old needed to be tested and gave me the number and name of people that do that in my area and that they like to do before they are 3 that way everything is in order for him to start school and he gets lots of special classes etc. I told her I didn't think he has it (although he does have funny little quirks) he is just two and two yr olds act weird. She asked me if my son had speech issues, I sd yes but he has had A LOT of ear infections and he starts therapy on the 8th. She reiterated that he needed to be tested. Ever when my Aspie came out of the bookshelves it was my two year old she was looking at. I kinda blew it off and as we were in line to check out there were magazine up front and they were disorganized. I watched my two yr old step up and put the magazines back where they belong and then give a satisfied "Thats better" sigh. I SWEAR HE DID! Now I wonder.
Testing at 2 years old?
