We saw a neurologist who recommended a neuropsych test--the place we were going to go does not take our insurance and it would cost close to $2500. We did find a neuropsychologist who is covered by insurance but I am not sure by how much yet, will find out tomorrow. We started this process because teachers at school were saying "brain injury", neurologist says PDD and recommended the testing. We don't know if we should even bother with the testing as well feel the school needs to treat the behaviours instead of being so focused on the whys of everything. But maybe it will tell us more? It's like when they said sensory integration disorder, I understood that, bought the books, did the research and do all the sensory activities at home while Ryan gets the OT help at school. But now with this vague PDD diagnosis, how much more do we have to learn before they will figure out how to help Ryan succeed in preschool??
