HI Everyone,
We just got a diagnosis of PDD-NOS for our DD, who is 23 months. She scored in the normal to above normal range in her cognitive area, and is delayed in speech (she scored at the 2 year old range) and her social skills. I was handed a bunch of info on the Autism Spectrum at the diagnosis. Everything I read is of a kid worse off than mine. For example, she doesn't flap her arms, walk on tip toes, line things up, etc. It seems all language and social (she prefers parallel play but will play or do art beside another little one).
Is anyone else in this boat? I guess I want t crystal ball to see into the future. What does a 10 year old who was like mine at 2 seem like now? I'm told the diagnosis can be lifted eventually if she developes well.
No matter what , she is an AWESOME kid!
