  1. Re: QOTD for MONDAY

The $5 was just a donation for upkeep. They give you the option to purchase a Discovery Pass (for all the state parks) for $25 when you renew your tabs, but you can also purchase that pass at other places, anytime.  We have:

  2. Re: Do you ever rant on websites?

Does it make you feel better? According to Health Day News, it may actually make you angrier in the long run. "It's so tempting. You read something on a website about a hot-button issue that makes you mad and you've got to respond. Before you know it, you're verbally sparring with a stranger. But you may want to think twice before jumping into the fray.

  6. Re: How do your computer skills rate

I took classes at the library for months to learn how basic computer skills. Almost everyone in my class was a senior citizen and I was probably the youngest in the class (I am almost 60).

I think I have good computer skills than most my age but not even comparable to the younger generation. I can turn a computer on, load a new program, create a file folder and add items to it, get on the internet and search, and visit a few social sites. If something goes wrong then I am stuck and usually have to get one of my kids to help.

  8. Re: Does obesity cause depression?

Welcometo the board!  I agree with Heidi that obesity and depression probably play off each other.  Obesity can lead to low self-esteem, and that can trigger depression in someone who is prone to it, which can cause that person to have low energy and/or eat too much, which causes weight gain, which exacerbates the depression, and so on.  I hope that Heidi's link helps.  If you can't find it, certainly you can Google it and find plenty of sites with the criteria; just don't take the internet as Gospel truth.  ;)
