I survived domestic abuse!

Why?

I have volunteered with DV surviors, I admire the strength they have found in themselves. I'm proud of those who have walked away, and survived. But at the same rate I just don't understand.

When I was in highschool, I dated a guy who was handsome, charming, athletic, popular, and every girls dream. I was extremely envied. And no one understood when I told him to get lost.

In closing.......

Well it's almost time for me to leave work. Once I get home I won't have time to spend on the board. I hate to log off. I will miss you guys until tomorrow. I am anxious to log on daily and see how everyone is and listen to the stories.

HELP! There is a woman asking for help on the other abuse board and boy, does she need it....

whtasummr99@ivillage.com.

This is the email address this woman posted on the Domestic Abuse- Make it Stop board, under Post 15, subpost 2. She asks us to email her with advice. She NEEDS advice, believe me. Please go to that board, read her post, FIRST. I responded to her there in a post under hers. Please read mine too. THEN please either post to her there (for all readers to benefit) or email her.

HE'S BACKKKKKKKKKKK!! (More)

For all those who know becca's story, and Jeffery, check out the post 45 on the DA/Make it stop.Time to rally for her again...

From the inside

something I wanted to share....

I got this in my email today from a friend:The Strength of a Man -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

The strength of a man isn't seen in the width of his shoulders. It is seen in the width of his arms that encircle you.

The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his voice. It is in the gentle words he whispers.

The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has. It is how good a buddy he is with his kids.

The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at work. It is in how respected he is at home.

IMPORTANT111 For IODOT or CL! PLEASE READ!!

There is a very important post that needx to be put on this board and/or the other abuse boards. I know you can get it and put it where it needs to be easily; I don't know how to do it without typing it over. I don't want to put it on this machine and have my husband come across it. It is on the now archived (as of yesterday) Christian Families board, archive 18, 10/21/99, post number 52, toward end, posted by cl-blcandle, called "A Word on Safety..." PLEASE retrieve it. It has excellent information!!!

You keep me going.

Im so sad today.
