Ladies:

We are planing a meet and greet in LA during Labor Day weekend. We will meet for lunch or dinner on Saturday or brunch on Sunday. If you are interested, please let us know.

Suggestions?

This is going to be fun!!!!

Do any of you know of any medium or small black churches in the Atlanta Area that you could recommend? Have any of you heard of Ben Hill's church ministries? I'm aware of Eddie Long's New Birth and Creflo Dollar's but I'd prefer another church other than these two.

Good morning,

I emailed you last night, but you left the "h" out of yahoo, and it bounced back!

Hello Everyone

I was just curious to know what everyone is reading. I'm reading the Bondswoman's Narrative by Hannah Crafts and edited by Henry Louis Gates Jr. It's possibly the first fiction written by a black female fugitive slave. It's very intriguing and I'm enjoying it.

Top of the morning ladies!!! It's Wednesday and this has already been a very long week but alas I'm hanging strong. I hope all is well with everyone too.

It is so hard for me to pick a question of the day. I may have several floating in my head but I always want to pick a good one. I probably get to the point of not caring so much but if you knew how long it took for me to decide (the libra in me) on the QOTD you would be laughing at me right now. Lol!

Hey WOC LA!

Let's get together for lunch or something! I'll be there from Saturday until Tuesday.

As I look at the faces in my summer school classroom, I worry. These children are not prepared to go out into the world. They are full of so much hatred for life and self-loathing that it brings tears to my eyes. Not all of them, there are a few who show some promise, but most of the students I have laugh and joke about killing people, robbing banks and they call anything they don't understand stupid. I have to wonder how much of this is home training and how much of it is just adolesence.
She was mad cool! She talked about the book and read a chapter as well before the signing. We were able to ask Qs and everything. I asked her were her characters "Rev. T Terry" and "Dick Dixmoor" based on real life folks. Of course she said no. When she signed my book, she said, "You're the one who tried to get me with that question. I can't give up my secrets". She smiled and told me to look out for the sequel.
