Well he may not be a heathen for real. But last night we were talking and he was telling me about something he said at this Cultural Diversity training. Basically, it was his views on Christianity. He said he can't take old Black Christians who believe Jesus is going to come and save the day or basically come back. Now he knows that i'm Christian, because I go to Church but that i'm really not that into it. So he's like well I think you go to Church for the right reasons (to be centered), not like other people. I don't know what to do!!
My sisters I am new to this board and I think it is great to have women of color to seek and give advice. Let me rephrase that, other women of color who can give a different perspective than your immediate circle of influence.
I wanted to tell you all what's been happening since I got that initial phone call a few weeks ago.

Well, I was pretty cool and I had decided that it was an isolated incident and that I'd save the message and if something else should happen, I would react! Well that something happend at 4:00pm on Tuesday! The same little girl, called while I was at work! And left a message that was 10 times VULGAR, than the first. SO...I got privacy manager put on my phoneline! I hate privacy managers and think they're a pain, but oh well, I gave in!

Don't get excited, ladies!

It's the title of a book I am reading by Jill Nelson. The book is about 2 forty-something African-American women who decide to open a "full-service" (if you catch my drift) spa in Nevada.

Question: Would you opt for your basic massage/seaweed wrap spa package or would you ever go for the deluxe with "sumthin' sumthin'" on the side? Note: This is legal in Nevada and all workers are regularly tested and evaluated by a doctor on premises.

Happy Juneteenth Day EVERYBODY! Won't be here tomorrow, so here's your five today!

1. How do you commemorate Juneteenth Day? Does your city have festivals or any celebrations planned?

2. The farmers markets are now open, what do you LOVE getting fresh? Do you have a garden of your own? What have you planted?

3. Do you have any generational blessings (like all women age gracifully, etc.)? Have you inherited these blessings? Generational curses? Have you overcome these curses?

spend it on a trip to space. I was reading an article that the Russian folks want to start a tourist shuttle into outerspace.....of course there are stipulations as to who can go up with medical examinations, and training needing to be completed.....

Each seat will be an estimated 20 million a pop! ...Oh okay let me get that out of my bank real quick! NOT! Geesh!

If someone gave me 20 million and I had a choice of doing that or something else ....I'd do the something else.... dying isn't something im too fond of....

What was your worst love Jones ever! I mean the worst lovesickness, romatic interlude, infatuation, almost stalking affairs or wudda-been affairs of your life. What was your most embarrassing moment in love. Start with grade school and progress(yes you can have more than one)to your most recent!

"Flag Wars" is a poignant account of the politics and pain of gentrification. Working-class black residents in Columbus, Ohio fight to hold on to their homes. Realtors and gay home-buyers see fixer-uppers. The clashes expose prejudice and self-interest on both sides, as well as the common dream to have a home to call your own.

I saw the movie "Jasper, Texas" on Showtime last night. It was based on the 1998 dragging death of James Byrd. A lot of instances where included in the story that I was not aware of. I never really followed the story that much when it happened. But it was horrific. They showed pictures of the mangled body. I was heartbreaking. Not meaning to sound naive and unrealistic, but it is unbelievable that there are some people out here that are still so evil and rogue.
