Repost from Archive 16
“I’ll never forget that day. It was a beautiful spring morning. Birds were chasing each other gayfully and singing so sweetly. The trees were covered with aroma filled blossoms. There was a hint of a chill in the air, but you could tell by the sunshine in the sky that it would be an absolute perfect day.”
“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust …”
“I didn’t have a care in the world. I felt so peaceful, yet curious. I wanted to see more, feel, smell, explore and enjoy. I wasn’t sure where I was, but it didn’t seem to matter.”
Some great beginnings here...
I have not been here in a while, the board is great. Reading some of the beginnings is very motivating. I was writing every day for a while, making great progress, then I got sidelined by family problems. Now my Vampires will not talk to me, but I am trying to coax them back out. Here is a question. How do we keep family obligations from taking over our lives? Hope to see you in class. Keep up the good work. Mamie
Dear Jessica: May I make a selfish request?
Dear Jessica,
Thank you for your feedback on my opening for _Jovai_. I value your opinion very much and I'm glad you liked it. That is my finished "epic" - the one I used to get an agent. I also appreciate your wonderful feedback on the query letter and am currently rewriting it using your suggestions and those of ekpark.

I posted a reply to your feedback, but may have posted it to the archive board by mistake (newbie, newbie, newbie). If you don't receive it, I just wanted to say thanks for your nice message, and ask how to post the entire story for critique. Thanks again. Linda (Ozarker)
Jessica, thanks for your critique....
I eliminated a few things when I posted to the new board. There is more to this story obviously as this was just a "beginning"and your questions do get answered in the remainder of the story. Thanks again, MaryO

I’m glad I didn’t know the way it all would end, the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance. I could have missed the pain but I’d a had to miss “The Dance.”
