To Byesko, regarding your November Exercise about the Football Game

Good job! Your piece didn't feel like a real story to me, (not enough conflict maybe) but with all the details it kept me involved. I realized that there were many places you could have described in so much more detail (like the restaurant that had no line) but I was glad you didn't. You gave it just enough and didn't overwhelm me. I really enjoyed it. Thank you.

To Birdd, regarding your November Exercise: Bacon

I just read it. Wonderful. I particularly liked the contrast between then and now. I loved the way your wrapped it up with the same good feelings from a different perspective!

The only sensory detail that bothered me was the spit in the creases of a million smiles. Just a personal thing but, as much as I like smiles, spit in them is not the best image for me. Still, you created a real sense of love and joy. You even had me wanting to make bacon, which is a lot considering I don't like to eat it!

My Introduction

Hi Everyone,

My name is Adrienne and I just became a CL for the Book Club yesterday.

I'll be helping out here until Diane assigns me to a permanent board.

I am an avid reader, and I love to write also. I can't wait to read your stories, and I hope all we get to know each other very soon!

A quote to ponder:

"If you stuff yourself full of poems, essays, plays, stories, novels, films, comic strips, magzines, music, you automatically explode every morning like Old Faithful. I have never had a dry spell in my life, maninly because I feed myself well, to the point of bursting. I wake early and hear my morning voices leaping around in my head like jumping beans. I get out of bed quickly, to trap them before they escape." Ray Bradbury

Welcome To Our 13th Board

There is something about a fresh board. It's like a new novel that I buy and then spend some time before I read it to take in the crackle of the binder as I open the book and breath in that great papery smell. I hate that I want to start it and hate it just as much when I am finished reading it.

The new boards are the same. I love the freshness and cleaness of it but I can't wait to see all the wonderful words that will soon be posted.

Welcome to Writing Class After Hours 13th board. Let's start heading to board number 14.

Did this last night and it archived!! LOL

JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SAY A SLEEPY HELLO

I am a night owl by nature. I love staying up late because of the solitude it provides me. There are different noises at night that are not there during the day, and everything takes on a different perspective when it is dark. I live in Los Angeles for now, and it seems I will be here for a while since I am a student currently working on a double major. I am owned by two very spoiled dogs who think they are the most gorgeous dogs in the world... I think that is because I keep telling them so.

A message from the heart to all.

Dear Everyone,

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I have always been very shy of sharing my work with anyone, the great people here inspire me and make me feel so good.

I have a problem,...

I have written my November exercise...BUT...I have two different endings.

I like them both, my husband likes them both, and so do my children. *laughs.

How does one go about choosing which ending to use, when they have two that they think are equally as good?
