Speaking of Writer's Conferences
I would really like to know what goes on at them. This is the second conference that Judy is going on since I met her and I need details. How does someone go about finding conferences in their area? I was once invited to attend one in Hawaii. Needless to say, I didn't go, Hawaii is a little out of my budget. But I do want to know more about them. Is there a way of getting video tapes from the conferences? Are there any online conferences that people can join in like in a chat room? I have more questions that I can even think of to ask.
A quick fiction class (part II):
Fiction is essentially about a character (the protagonist) who is in some kind of jeopardy. Once the plot has established this jeopardy, it piles on more troubles and then at the last minute (usually) delivers the protagonist from his or her misery.
1. Start with a story idea. Does your idea fit into a genre such as mystery, romance, or historical epic?
Hi, All! I'm Here For a Minute.
Well, make that an hour or two. There are so many great stories here to read!
Worked late again. Am tired again - or is it still? Just finished dinner. Really. I worked until after 6 and didn't start cooking until 7. Might as well have rubbed dinner on my hips. That's where it's going. If I had just rubbed it on, I could have just washed it off. Oh, well.
Hope tomorrow does not repeat today. I'll have an awfully hungry dog and hunny if it does. Don't want to miss class tomorrow!

Hello Everybody I have a question..... NEED HELP!
Thank you for your comments about "The Blessing"
I'd like to thank everyone who commented on my story. This is the first time I had written for anyone other than myself. I've been writing since my early teens. It was my way of dealing with my situation. Yes, the story was true and it was my life. I've learned to cope, and believe it or not writing it down helps.
Maybe one day I'll write the great American novel and expand on my short replay of my life.
Anyway thanks again, all of your comments were greatly appreciated.

Scary Halloween Story
I hope this is the place to post contest entries:
The ferry engines rumbled into reverse as we bumped into the slip through the fog. Pilings groaned under the pressure. We drove down the ramp and into yesterday. The town that unfolded before us had been frozen in time, much like the fly caught in the resin of amber. A caution light blinked at the main intersection...the only movement in the dusk.
Mark unfolded the directions : "Make second right, house is at top of hill, opposite old church."
please help!! I'm lost.
I'm a new member at Writing Class After Hours, and just entered my first story last Wednesday (Oct. 14,) titled Young Ladies. I was hoping to get more feedback, but the story seems to have disapeared. Does anyone now how I can find it?? Thanks, ldsnana.
