The second part to my story

Part Two: The surprise

I sat in the car taking in deep calming breaths and trying to smell so I might have got a hint what the surprise was. I couldn’t smell anything. Sean took my hand and led me down a path then through a door as a rush of cold air hit me. I stumbled back not expecting the cold air. As Sean helped me stand still I felt the chill going up my spine.

“Sean where are we?” I asked as I heard my voice echo, which sounded quite eerie.

First Time Writing Here....July Exercise....The Thunderstorm

The air was filled with the tension of the oncoming storm. Streaks of white-blue light flew across the sky like long, bony fingers stretching out to grab something. All the animals in the forest were running for cover. The little raccoon ran to the tree stump that was his home. He crawled inside just as a bolt of lightening struck the tree next to his home, splitting the huge oak tree in half. The large branch came crashing down on the stump, trapping the scared creature in his stump.
