A writer at heart
I have always wanted to be a writer. I have written one book "The Family Devotions Handbook", but the only people that got copies of it were the members of my immediate family. I am also in the process of writing another book 'Joined At The Heart'....a book about marriage. But it's been quite a while since I have been able to do any writing at all. I was excited when I saw this board, and although I cannot attend the Wednesday night classes, I will be keeping up with the messages that are posted.
Wheeling and Dealing
I have just purchased a car that just about everyone advised against. It's a white '89 Peugeot 405 mi16, car of the year in its day. It has gone 112,000 miles so far, and it's in showroom condition.

Mom/Writer glad to be here!
Hurrah! A writing center...I'm so thrilled to find a place to mix with other writers. I've yet to meet any in person (at least any willing to admit it). And being a mother of 2 (ages 2 and 3 months), I don't have much time to seek anyone out....or write for that matter, but I'm trying...I'm trying.
Looking forward to getting involved. Any tips from any mother/writers out there who actually find time to write? How do you do it?
A "just for fun" question......
This is just for fun, and I guess Im a little curious.....
IF one is lucky enough to get published, how much would an unknown, new Author expect to make on their first book?
Do publishing houses etc automatically expect a second book and contract you for it?
Writing assignment- A long, long time ago...
A long, long time ago when the world was still in it’s infantile stage there were three creatures that kept watch over the land. They were the voice of reason; they were the voice of peace. They stood tall and proud on gleaming, golden hooves. They were revered by all around them. As they galloped over land eyes were averted from the sunlight glistening off their brilliant horns. Serenity followed them as closely as their silky tails. They were the Unicorn.
Impressive Website, Intriguing, Inspiring, Encouraging
Greetings to all! Wow! I can't believe I found this place. It's amazing, impressive, intriguing, inspiring, encouraging, and exciting. Dreams do come true after all! I have dreamed of this very webpage setup. Amatuer computer user and Internet tourist, I've wanted something just like this to visit and educate myself along with support and encouragement.
I'm reading again since high school days. I want to learn to write. My goal is to complete my autobiography.
