Please DISREGARD post 43, I found all the answers in the archives, sorry for wasting space! n/t

A whole load of questions!!!

More titles for our bibliography:

"On Writing Well" by William Zinsser is one of my favorite books for illuminating style. It's written primarily for nonfiction writers, but anyone can benefit from reading it. "Woe is I" by Patricia T. O'Connor is a witty and insightful book on grammar rules. For writers interested in writing memoirs and personal essays, I recommend Nancy Davidoff Kelton's "Writing From Personal Experience." Any more additions?

Writing for on line sites?

Thank you Jessica and Sharon for your wonderful advice regarding the house contest!!!

Jessica, you mentioned the possibility of making money by writing for on-line sites. What do you mean? What sites? What kind of writing? Where would I go to find these opportunities?

REMINDER: September 22 class is on creativity. See you there! n/t

At last! A book for writers who write for the Internet.

I've just run across a book called Writer's Guide to Internet Resources by Vicky Phillips and Cindy Yager and am going to order it. The authors are freelancers and give information on networking, marketing and using the 'Net for research. Although there many opportunities out there for writing online, like many of you, I find that it takes too much time to research every site.

Quote (s) of the week:

"Words that can be cleanly discarded are clearings of the throat." Ethel Rotum "To eliminate wordiness is to insure emphasis. Whenever we can make 25 words do the work of 50, by reducing the span of attention required, we increase the force of thought." William Follett

Motivation
