July exercise -- The love of her life

July's exercise seems to be wide open to interpretation, so I thought I would post this. It certainly contains a lot of observation.

Judy.bee I MISS you!!!! (m)

Sorry everyone - this post isn't related to the board - it's just that Judy.bee used to be a host on a board that I am now hosting, I searched high and low and finally found her here!

Judy - please stop by and say hello once in awhile - everyone wonders what happened to you, and I personally I miss your input.

It's good to see that you are still happily clicking away over here though!

Could someone tell me where to find July exercise and what day we have to have it in by.nt

Another late entry. Sorry for the delay but

I found this to be a very difficult exercise. I have not written anything like this in years (and I do mean years) and am not wholly satisfied with my results. I do think, however, that it has promise. It's worth reworking, but I thought I'd go ahead and get it posted.

A GENTLE reminder, lovely writing ladies.(m)

Because this board is set up to post the Writing Class exercises, questions about writing and receive feedback, we do ask that you post only exercise-related stories here.

We have so many exercises posted each month. (And those busy little archive elves snatch the board into archive heaven, where you cannot post or receive feedback anymore, after 55-60 primary posts.)We need to ensure that everyone gets the feedback they need and deserve before the current board disappears.

THE GRIEF LINE

When I was five, I was in love with my Uncle Albee. I wanted to marry him when I grew up. He was my daddy's younger brother and I thought he was the handsomest man in the world. He was so tall, he had to stoop and take his Stetson off to keep from hitting his head as he came through the front door.

I liked his eyes. They reminded me of the yellow-brown agate Bobby Williams played marbles with. And there were all these little lines along the outside corners.
