For those who haven't heard - (m)
I'll be AFK for a while. The Writer's Chat can still take place without me. (Maybe even better.)
I'm packing bags and sleeping tomorrow night. Might still be at work at 7 ET.
Have fun without me, gang! I'll be back with a vengence on July 10. Lack of sleep can do that.

Cl-hedgehog needs some HELP. Please read.(m)
Hi, All:
I'm Linda Hamner (cl-hedge.hog) and I'm co-host of iVillage's Own Author Chats, which is designed to showcase iVillage members who are also published writers.
The response so far has been great. We've met some new writers and they've had a chance to promote their books.
I'm trying to book late summer and fall now, and desperately need your help in finding additional writers. We're seeking all kinds of writers: fiction, journalist, poets, screenwriters, non-fiction, etc.
Need some advice on writing dialog..........Help!!!
I have a fear of writing dialog. I am always afraid to get the sentence structure wrong,or the puncuation incorrect. Can anyone reccomend a good book on the subject, instructional website ect. I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks in advance to all.
Chat froze on me tonight in the last ten minutes (more)
so my apologies to everyone! I didn't mean to disappear!
See you all next week!

Apropros of nothing - Essay on my Red Vinyl Chair
My water exercise is on hold, and I just haven't had much writing time lately. I've been indulging with little essays just to keep doing something. Here is one from the other night.
The Night of the Red Vinyl Chair
Caught in the Current (June exercise)
Tobe (character sketch)
Living Water
Okay, here goes. This is my first time doing this. I've read and reread this so many times that I have no idea whether it's any good or not.
