April Exercise
NOTE: This isn't finished yet, and I'm not sure where I'm going with it. I wanted to try my hand at dialect, so here it is, for whatever it's worth.

Bessie was already in the kitchen even though the sun wasn't up yet. She got the coffee going and then reached under a cupboard for her cast iron skillet. It was black and well-seasoned, having been used for just about anything she could fry. This morning, she decided to fry up some red sausages and heat the biscuits left over from last night's supper.

chasing after the wind .............April Exercise
I am sitting in the windowless room. Surrounded by pine furniture and heavy draperies, and my closest friends, I listen, but am speechless as the executor of the will steps forward.
He clears his throat.
"In accordance with the wishes of the deceased, you have been invited to hear this, her message to you."
a funny thing happened on the way to the bank . . .
Way back in early Feb, i posted my first piece of writingon this board. Before I could even read all your responses our computer collapsed (probably from shock) the hard drive went and then the motherboard . . . any way to cut a long story, I am now finally back on and would like to thank you for the lovely comments I have just read. I look forward to posting again.

I'm kind of new to this
I'm sorry to bother, but I have a few q's. I'm specifically looking for someone I can ask q's to when they pop up. Right now I'm wonderign what an SASE is, and what pay-pal is...if anyone would like to guide a young writer along the path of least destruction, it would be much appreciated. My email address is thought_criminal@hotmail.com. I don't know if I will be able to find this page again, so if you can help me, please email me :) Thank you.
help: how to break the block?
I've been on a "block", meaning something's been stopping me from writing, for... years. I've been trying to "break" it and "come out", but not results yet. this is really frustrating.
do you think you can create an exercise for that matter? or give me any tips??
thanks, Dee.
I missed class again. Can anyone...
share "class notes" or touch on the highlights? Sorry, Monday nights often don't work for me, plus I haven't been able to check in for a while.
Thanks,
Jaylyn, also Jaylyn_Skace@ivillage.com
