Dialogue Scene Exercise
It's a very short scene...
What the hell is going on in here? The damn washing machine is flooding the basement, our dinner is burning, and she wants a bubble bath! Got any suggestions! I’ll deal with the washer, you go and take care of dinner and the bubble bath. Oh sure, you get the easy part. By the way, hi, glad to see you.

Great class tonight! (m)
Though I still haven't found my niche, picked my specialty, I know that I must keep writing and keep submitting.
Think a long list of pseudonyms to match the topics might help? Only joking! (Or maybe not.)

Childhood Home Writing Exercise
I've been away for a while and want to come back to class...
Hi everyone.
I have not been to these boards in a long time and I’m glad to see the posts are better than ever. It’s great to see familiar names are still here, like Judy B and Linda Ozarker, plus many new people. This writing group means a lot to me because this was the first place I ever shared my writing with anyone else, and that was a year or two ago.
Come to the Writing Class tonight at 10pm EDT in the Readers & Writers Chat Room! nt
Time Out (of my mind)
Just the other day, here at iVillage, I clicked on a thread to take a timed IQ test. It was fun. It was absurd.
I scored a 109. I rate as one with average intelligence. Oh boy! I only read each question carefully for key topic words and had a pen and scratch paper to work out the weirdest word-game and mathematics problems. I fail to see the connection.

Writing exercise - childhood home
'Step softly for you tread on my dreams' . .. this is my first exercise and it has taken a lot to get here.
"I’ve loved lattice ever since. We had lattice at the side of my house. Not the flimsy thin decorative lattice that can hardly support a fuschia let alone a foot but big strong wooden lattice that we could climb on and up and over.
Write for 1 hour... well 15 minutes anyway
February Exercise: Rejected (m)
Hi there, I wrote this naked, yet not in the nude. I hope you don't mind :)

Another night so inky dark that bats look bright in comparison. Another night so cold I swear I saw a penguin wiggle past me with a wink. Another night alone.
