Looking Back RD # 8....The battle continues

If there was one thing that drove Kate up a wall, it was being without. She was a driven individual, and her energies were not aimed in one direction, but many, including intimacy. So, in her desperation, she decided to confront him openly, honestly, about it.

Joe was in the bedroom, getting dressed, and she watched him as he slid his pants up his lean, muscular legs. She felt a little chill, and looked at him, gazing intently.

Devin, I'm impressed!

That was really exciting to get your e-mail this morning! I couldn't figure out at first who I was getting mail from. Isn't it fun the way characters write their own story when you really take the time to get to know them? That is what was happening with mine. I've taken a lot of time off from it and now am going back and ripping it apart and changing things. It is still writing itself though. We will definitely have to chat sometime! Have a wonderful Christmas!

"Oh, Man!" Kate slapped the steering wheel with her gloved hand. Traffic was backed up, feet from her entrance ramp to the highway. "Figures. Somebody forgot how to drive again." She leaned back into her seat and cranked her Sheryl Crowe c.d. as loud as she could tolerate it. There was no way she was going to let this ruin her day.

Approximately a mile down the road, she encountered a four car accident. Kate winced in sympathy. She'd had her share of accidents in the past, and they were pretty traumatic.

Looking Back RD #3...Wars...

Sometimes days go by so fast, you can't tell one from another. Days, like individuals, leave prints on your life. The last few days left Kate in a reflecting mood. She pondered many things. 'Why',she wondered, 'have I always been so different?' She winced again, shuddering, as cruel songs rang in her ears.

'Aids! Get back...' They clamored away, laughing, screaming, crossing their fingers in front of their bodies.
