An exercise for Karen a/k/a shooshy00 (and the rest of you) (m)

I've been thinking about this one for a few years, ever since I heard Robert Pinsky read a poem written this way.

Starting with the letter "A," write a story where each word begins with a consecutive letter of the alphabet.

Knowing that not many of us will write entire stories consisting of only 26 words, what do you do when you get to "Z?"

1. Start all over again.

2. Reverse the order of the beginning letters.

November Exercise (first-timer...)

Writing Exercise

Nov. Exercise Conclusion

Had a couple requests to see how this ends. 'course when I wrote it, I had no idea how I wanted it to end. *grin* So, your guess is as good as mine... let's see how it goes. :) Maybe some strong language. Doesn't really follow the exercise, but provides conclusion to the story that does.

I hate the day job! (m)

When my daughter was little and we used to play hide and seek, she would giggle. I'd wander all over the apartment saying, "I can hear you but I cannot see you," in a rather dramatic, if sing-song, tone of voice.

It's going to be sort of like that on the boards for a few weeks. I can see you but you may not hear me. (I know, you're more used to that happening to me than I am. I'm the one who gets tired and cranky and afraid to speak for fear of saying the wrong thing because my mind is mush.)

Luke Montague's first message

This is my first message. I'm not sure just how to get feedback on the writing exercise. My innocence can't last!

Chinese-speaking required. ‘I’m sorry, we’re looking someone who is well-versed in Mandarin…’ Wasn’t there anyone in the corporate world that spoke English? Didn’t seem like it.
