October exercise-The Snow Castle (m)

THE SNOW CASTLE

The temperature was below zero when I started for work, and the day promised to get worse from there. I'd started a new job two days before. But the job was in town, five miles from home. To get there, I had to drive a mile up a gravel road with a steep hill, and a curve at the top of the hill, before getting to the rutty old blacktop that would take me to town.

The hill was under two inches of ice and snow. I didn't make it. But I did make the ditch off the side of the hill.

Hi! Shooshy00

Thanks for formatting my Article "MEMORIES". How do you do that ? I have gone through the website but couldn't find any tab which formats the document.

Suite Number 11 - Sarabande

Hope no one minds me postin' another. :) Rather like this exercise. ----------------

I stood, eyeing the expectant audience and impatient judges. My instrument weighed heavily upon my shoulders. As highschool chamber orchestras go, I suppose we were pretty good, but at this moment I was more nervous then anything. I felt a tinge of embarrassment as I noticed the stage lighting reflecting off of the pencil marks I'd made along the fingerboard a year ago. No one in the audience would notice that, but I did.

The Tub Room

First writing exercise...

It's my first writing exercise, and it was really very fun! This incident is completely true! All grammatical error are done on purpose. Anyway, I'm 15 now and I DO own my own make-up, but my sisters' is always more chic than mine!! Ah well... :)

It was the place to be when I was a child.

This is my first exercise, so bear with me!! Oct exercise......

Blessings of Motherhood

Folding the dish towel in half and hanging it over the door of the kitchen cupboard, I yawn and struggle to keep my eyes open. Walking to the living room I turn on one single light, letting it cast its hazy soft glow on the quiet stillness of the evening. Outside I can see the stars twinkling softly behind the thin blanket of clouds as they meander across the nights sky.

Hello, I forgot to repost this after the board archived.

It was a late November night and my spirits were low. I crossed the kitchen floor and bent over the playpen, grabbing a puppy from off the blanket.

His sweet little eyes stared into mine. I placed him up to my face; his soft and thick fur tickled my nose, and he seemed to sooth my spirits right away. Before I knew it the other puppies were awake. Black and gold, yellow and mixed, they were all my little babies.
