Difficult Month For Us All

This month has been very difficult for all of us, throughout the world, and the board has reflected it.

This is just a reminder that next month, we would like to get back on track for this Writing Exercise Board.

Please only post your contribution for the month's writing exercise when posting stories on this board. If your work is not related to the month's exercise, please feel free to post it at one of the other boards at the Readers and Writers channel.

Here's the main page with the list of all the boards:

Waking Up

I'm new here and I just read September's exercise. Below is the first five paragraphs of a story I am working on.

Any suggestions on my hook are appreciated.

I woke up in a lavender haze. It was mostly dark, but there was a crack of light showing. It illuminated lavender satin. I was surrounded by it.

Hi! Got my website published!

Hi Everyone! I just got my website published and I am very excited about it. Would you please check it out and let me know what you think. I would really like some feedback and advice on how I can make it better.

I have been very busy this month. But I think I will be able to post my September excercise sometime this week. Thanks!

Love, Cinnamongirl_74

An invitation to give grief words.............

Sept. 11, 2001 changed all of us and our nation. We are all experiencing a wide range of emotions that tend to make us feel helpless.

At the link below you will find journaling ideas to help you use writing to heal and work through the grief.

September Exercise

If I Could . . . Feedback for picture book

This is a picture book I've just written. I'd appreciate feedback--please be honest! Thanks!

If I could I would Grow big like a giant And climb the highest mountain with one great leap

If I could I would Squeeze my eyes shut Until I could see the colors of every flower all at once

If I could I would Make myself so tiny I could sit on a flower petal and throw pollen in the air for all the bees

Sept. Exercise - They say we will change.
