I’ve been a member of iVillage since 2000. I CL’d Crafters’ Community, Crafts, Living on One Income, Washington, Budget Decorating and more. I’m proud to be back CL-ing. I’ve got 6 grown kids, 14 grandkids and 4 great-grands. I’m happily married to a most patient and understanding man. We are owned by 4 indoor cats and one feral and live in Lynnwood, WA. Volunteer history: Wow….I wrote this once on the profile page and it went poof. I’ll try again! 32 consecutive years of PTA and Parent support groups as an officer or chairman as well as doing sets for plays, newsletters, tutoring, room mothering, fund-raising, volunteer coordination and recruiting and more. I served on our local school board as well as on the Educational Services District Boundary Committee. I also co-chaired school levy campaigns (and they passed.) Was also on Communications Council and the local and state advisory committees for Drug and Alcohol education. I also spent time on the city’s sidewalk committee and years on the Historical Commission, most of those as chairperson. Worked on several campaigns as well. I designed costumes for Mountlake Terrace Ballet, coached soccer as well as being Team Mom forever! There’s more, but this is enough, don’t you think? Ask if you have questions. I may not answer them but I will evade politely. I love to read, craft, sew, draw ATCs, refinish furniture, listen to a wide variety of music, collect things (not a hoarder, YET), snorkel in tropical waters, swim, have family and friends over and work with feral cats, socializing them. At one point we had 19! I’m trained in grief, stress and suicide counseling….along with team-building, negotiations and a bunch of other things. I’m supposedly retired…but moms and homemakers don’t get to.
