Finding cool clothes for a little boy is tough enough; room decor? Forget it. Everywhere I look I’m bombarded with the same tired themes -- cars, planes and trains. Until now: Western Rustlers Wall Art (Bliss Living, $143) by Oopsy Daisy artist Hillary James is refreshingly different.
I love the canvas' warm red, brown and gold hues (bye-bye baby blue!) and the way it's hand-stretched over wood bars with sides that are decoratively finished, so you don't have to frame it. Mounting it is easy, too (for do-it-yourself-challenged moms like me) since there's a wire hanger on the back.
Another plus: Your kid can even poke and prod at this action-packed piece -- the canvas can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth. And since the image isn't babyish, it's a good fit for newborns through gradeschoolers.
