It was just last year that Sheena Matheiken embarked on an impressive challenge: Wear the same dress for 365 days straight and make it look completely different for each of those 365 days (oh, and all without buying anything new). A difficult task, no?
The point was to raise money for the Akanksha Foundation (a non-profit that provides education to children living in Indian slums). The money could be donated through Matheiken's blog, The Uniform Project, where she would showcase all her looks. And at the end of the year she'd managed to raise over $100,000. Amazing!
Of course, the whole thing wouldn't have been possible if Matheiken hadn't had the most perfect little black dress to wear, well, ever. Created by Eliza,Starbuck, it could be worn forwards, backwards, or as an open tunic -- and clearly there was nearly no end to the number of ways it could be styled. Which is why we're beyond excited that the latest version of the dress is finally available for purchase online at Bright Young Things, the e-shop for Starbucks' line.
At $185, it's more than I would normally want to spend on a dress, but if you actually wore it every day of the year, it would only cost you about a nickel per wear. And even if you only slipped it on once a week (totally doable!) it would work out to a little over $3.50. Which sounds pretty dreamy to me!
What do you think? Could you wear the same dress 365 days in a row? Chime in below!
