    1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup heavy cream
    1 cup light brown sugar 2 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. water Green food coloring
    1/4 tsp. salt

      In a large heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the brown sugar, water and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring all the time.

      Reduce heat and let the caramel bubble gently for 5 minutes, to thicken.

      Turn off the heat and stir in the cream and vanilla. Add a few drops food coloring, stirring until it achieves a shade you like. Eat warm or cold over ice cream. Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
