15 Exciting Toys From Around the House

Babies don’t need a lot of fancy playthings that beep and spin -- they’re actually just as entertained by simple, everyday objects found easily at home. In fact, many household items can be transformed into ‘toys’ if they’re safe (be sure they’re made from non-toxic materials, have no sharp edges, and won’t break into small pieces which could pose a choking hazard.) Check out our list, guaranteed to bring hours of creative (and free!) fun.

Cardboard Boxes
It’s a boat, a train, a truck or a plane… if it goes vroom, your little guy will create it out of a big ol’ box, like the ones from Amazon or a grocery delivery service. Older toddlers and preschoolers may dub it their hideout or ‘fort’ or turn their cardboard structure into an art project by scribbling all over it with markers and crayons.
