From the parade to fireworks, kids love the fun ways to celebrate our country's birthday. To keep 'em busy while you're hosting the annual BBQ, try these easy (and tasty!) Fourth of July-themed crafts.
Popsicle Stick Flag What You’ll Need: An eight-pack of popsicle sticks, a star hole puncher, white cardstock, red, white and blue paint, glue
Ages: 4 and up
This craft is great to keep little hands busy on a hectic extended-family-is-all-at-your-house 4th of July. You can either buy a pack of popsicle sticks, or let the kids eat popsicles as a holiday treat and save the sticks. Start by cutting three of the sticks in half and painting them blue. Discard the extra halves. Then paint three of your sticks red, and two of them white. Once they’ve dried, glue the red and white sticks close together on your white card stock, every other (like a flag!), then in the upper left corner, glue your three blue sticks and hole punched stars! Oh say can you see that’s a handsome flag!
