chime in nowSuper curious, learning new things every day, able to focus for about 15 minutes -- that's your preschooler! Whether you've got a long, lazy vacation day to fill up with fun, or just want to stimulate her little brain before dinner, keep your kiddo busy with one of these easy activities.
Volcanic Eruption
From: Play At Home Mom
Why We Love It: What's not to love about cool colors and fizzing expolsions? Seriously, this is an activity that even the most un-crafty mom can get excited about. And who knows, you may be nurturing a future love of chemistry. (Hey, it's possible!)
What You’ll Need: Glue, liquid starch, sand, salt, vinegar, alcohol, oil, dish soap, corn starch, plastic cups and liquid watercolors
How to Do It: Separate the plastic cups a few inches from each other and add a few drops of food coloring to each cup. Next, add a few drops of vinegar to each cup. Finally, pour some baking soda into each cup and watch what happens: The foam will overflow from each cup a la a volcanic eruption. Hello, Mt. Messy!
