Internet videos are like comets. They blaze across our collective browsers for a week or two before fading away into obscurity when a bigger, better choreographed comet comes along to take their place. Some comets however, get caught in orbit and make their way back to us everynow and then, reminding us why we enjoyed them in the first place.
Beautiful poetic metaphors about YouTube videos aside, when the Funky Fresh Sr. Choir was first uploaded in 2009 it was internet gold. A handful of senior citizens breaking it down very uncomfortably, very unmelodically and vey unsynchronized-ly to hot tracks like "HeyYa," "Don't Cha" and "Hot In Herre." Those lucky viewers who made it through all 5 minutes of "WTF" were fortunate enough to learn that not only can this group of seniors collectively ruin your favorite songs from 2005, but they are also capable of doing the G-slide and performing at your bar mitzvah.
Still, this video is as cringe-worthy, fear-inducing and, well, hilarious as it was four years ago. Enjoy.
