Where it's located: Saco, Maine

Cost of admission: Children 38" tall to 48" tall, $27; children 48" tall and taller, $36

What your younger kids will love: Little kids can't wait to be "big," that's why this park's perfect for them. While some of the park’s 14 rides require parents to accompany their children, your little adventure-seekers can be independent on others -- on the Helicopters, the Merry-Go-Round, and the Kiddie Cars, kids can sit all by themselves.

What your older kids will love: Take your backyard slip ‘n slide to the next level with  these super cool aquatic attractions. If your child loves the thrill of waterslides, they’ll want to conquer Thunder Falls, the longest and tallest log flume in New England. Thunder Falls floats along Hopkins Rapids and Snake Canyon before racing down the ride’s drop off and ending with a satisfying splash.

Cool fact: Funtown-Splashtown is also home to Excalibur, an old-style wooden roller coaster that’s the largest and tallest in Maine’s history. Check it out: Funtown-Splashtown
