chime in nowGrow, baby, grow! This sweet little garden makes for the perfect party table accent… just add some TLC!
You’ll need:
Floral foam brick; artificial grass mat; rectangular vase; chipboard letters; decorative papers; buttons; ric rac trim; flower punch (optional); strawberries; baby lemons; wooden skewers; scissors; and clear glue.
Directions:
Trim floral foam to fit within the vase, leaving at least an inch of space between the top of the foam and the rim. Cut the grass mat to fit within vase and place it on top of the foam. (You may need to piece a few strips together for this step.) Next, decorate the chipboard letters with ribbon, buttons, paper flowers and leaves. Use a small dab of strong, clear glue to attach each of the decorated letters to a wooden skewer. Let dry. Insert the skewers through the grass mat and into the foam. Finally, add a few strawberries and baby lemons to the grass. If necessary, use toothpicks to secure their placement. Embellish the vase with a band of patterned paper all the way around the top and a few oversize buttons in the front.
Tip: Make a more personalized version of this centerpiece by spelling out mom or baby’s name instead of "BABY."
