Gary Coleman, 42, was quietly checked into a Utah hospital on Wednesday -- and the former child star is reportedly in critical condition. While the hospital is not releasing any further details at this time, Coleman's brother-in-law told TMZ that the Diff'rent Strokes actor fell and suffered a head injury.

This is the third medical emergency in five months for Coleman. In February, he suffered a dramatic seizure on the set of the TV show The Insider. And in January, he was hospitalized for what he called "a little seizure activity" -- although a relative told RadarOnline that Coleman was having heart surgery, and was worried that informing the public would compromise his career.

The 4'8" actor has struggled with health problems his whole life. His unusual height results from a congenital kidney disease called nephritis, which has necessitated two kidney transplants and requires regular dialysis. But this year has been an especially troubled one for Coleman -- on top of the medical emergencies, he pleaded guilty to a domestic violence charge in February. Coleman is married to Shannon Price, 25.
