Following last week's autopsy, Gary Coleman's death certificate has been released. The cause of his death is listed as a "fall" due to an "accident." Chronic renal failure was also listed as a contributing factor to the death of the Diff'rent Strokes star, who died on May 28 at age 42.
In addition, Shannon Price was listed as Coleman's spouse on the document, even though they were technically divorced at the time of his death.
Price had said she planned to scatter Coleman's ashes around trains tracks, "because trains were his hobby and he loved that very much." But a judge ruled Monday that his body could not be cremated before Wednesday afternoon, so Coleman's ex-girlfriend, Anna Gray, who was named in his 2005 will as Coleman's heir, has enough time to travel to Utah and see his body. (A hand-written addendum was reportedly added to the will in 2007 making Price his heir). In addition, a Utah judge appointed an independent attorney to oversee the actor's property and cremation until all disputes are settled between Gray and Price.
Coleman suffered from a brain hemorrhage last month that left him in a coma and on life support. The day after his fall, Price made the decision to remove him from the machinery that was keeping him alive.
