With all the negative press surrounding Tiger Woods and his alleged wandering eye, it's no surprise that his role model status is in jeopardy. While Nike has (so far) decided to keep Tiger as a celebrity endorser, Gatorade has discontinued their drink named for the golfer, Gatorade Tiger Focus.
Though the timing may be curious, the sports beverage company insists their decision to get rid of the Tiger juice came long before Mr. PGA's name was being dragged through the media mud.
"We decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010," a rep for Gatorade said in a statement to E! News.
Along with Nike, Gillette and Electronic Arts continued to back Tiger as of last week.
