Pregnancy & Parenting's
Get Fit Moms Message Board

Dropping back to your prebaby weight is probably your primary goal, but you need to pay almost as much attention to your postbaby nutrition and exercise plan as you did your prenatal conditioning. So start planning today how you're going to get fit again.

Developing a regular routine of exercise and diet -- perhaps not immediately after the baby is born, but in the year that follows -- is the best way to begin. If you haven't been a regular exerciser, now is the perfect time to start. Look for a postpartum exercise class that includes the baby as well -- also a great way to meet other new mothers. For day-to-day support and encouragement, join other women on our Get Fit Moms message board.

If you've never participated in message board before, you'll be surprised by how easy it is to get answers to your questions from experienced moms. You don't need to be an iVillage member to read messages, but if you want to post, just click on the "join now" link at the very top right hand corner of the message board page. Membership is free and it just takes a few minutes to sign up.
