Get the Look-Gwyneth Paltrow's Makeup

Gwyneth Paltrow, who won an Oscar for playing a woman acting as a man in Shakespeare in Love, has continued to amaze us with her range, as a tragic poet in Sylvia and a math genius in Proof. One thing that always stays the same, though, is her incredible beauty and poise. Here she radiates her magic with silvery-blue rimmed eyes and subtly stained lips, a veritable modern-day Hollywood princess. Makeup artist Deborah Grayson tells us how to get the look.

Step 1: Using a sharp angled eyebrow brush, fill in any sparse brow hairs with a golden-blond brow color. For a smooth application, you'll want to stroke along the grain of the hairs in the same direction they grow, using short feathery movements.

Step 2: With fingertips or a sponge-tipped applicator, apply a touch of creamy pearl highlighter just under the arch of brows.

Step 3: Using a flat, rectangular shadow-liner brush, apply a generous band of silver-blue cream shadow to the lower perimeter of the eyes. This is really the trademark of Gwyneth's look, so don't skimp '- this fuller band of color makes it special.

Step 4: Apply two to three coats of glossy-black thickening mascara to the upper lashes. Let the mascara dry between coats to prevent it from smudging or clumping. Brush one coat to lower lashes.

Step 5: Next, clean any debris or smears around the eye area with a cotton ball or tissue and makeup remover.

Step 6: Using fingers, dab a sheer, tinted moisturizer to the forehead, cheeks and chin, blending out in light, even strokes. "You want only a translucent, skin-baring coverage," Grayson says. "As you can see in Gwyneth's picture, her wonderful freckles are still revealed."

Step 7: Place a lightweight eye gel around the peripheries of the under-eyes. Aside from keeping the tender skin around the eyes hydrated, this will give the area a supple glow.

Step 8: Use a sheer-coral cream blush for cheeks. Just pat on apples of cheeks, and blend outward with fingertips.

Step 9: Blot face with a blotting tissue, just placing the tissue to the skin on any extra-shiny areas. Don't wipe as you'll disrupt the makeup '- just press to absorb extra oil.

Step 10: Line the inner perimeter of lips with a matte cinnamon colored pencil, then fill in with sheer coral gloss.
