Q; Why was it important to you to join the Garden Party initiative?

A: As a mom of 3, I know it's hard 2 get kids 2 eat veggies. It's something I struggle w/, so I know other parents struggle w/ it 2. It was a great opportunity to educate myself and other parents.

Q: As a mom, what are your tips and tricks to get kids to eat veggies?

A: I give them veggies when they're hungry. Put out a plate after school with Hidden Valley ranch and you will be surprised. I also use the "sneaky chef" method

Q: What is your favorite vegetable?

A: Broccoli

Q: What is your favorite vegetable dish?

A: Cheesey cauliflower

Q: Which Garden Party video was your favorite to shoot?

A: I loved being out in the fields talking to the farmers and trying new vegetables I had never heard of.

Q: Does your family enjoy vegetables? Which ones?

A: Yes, we eat Broccoli 4 dinner twice a week+have fresh salad each night. My girls know how important it is 2 have a balanced meal

Q: Were there any vegetables you disliked as a kid, but now love?

A: I don't think I liked any veggies when I was a kid.

Q: Where do you get your veggies? The supermarket? A farmer's market?

A: The supermarket or the farmers market. I prefer locally grown/organic whenever possible.

Q: Do you grow your own veggies or like to garden?

A: Yes, we have a garden+grow everything we like 2 eat. When it's harvest time there is no need 2 go 2 the store 4 fresh veggies

Q: Do your daughter's help you cook or bake?

A: I can't even go into the kitchen without at least 1 little helper. They cook, they bake, they clean, they do it all.

Q: What is their favorite veggie recipe?

A: My middle girl loves artichoke hearts with avocado and tomato.

Q: You were fantastic on DWTS!! What veggies powered you through the tough competition?

A: Lots of salads. I ate more when I was doing DWTS than I have ever eaten.

Q: What's your favorite meal to cook for your kids?

A: Spaghetti with fresh tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, onions, and garlic pureed into the sauce. They love it!

Q: Have you allowed your girls to read or watch the Twilight series?

A: My oldest read the 1st 2 books + Im slightly embarrassed 2 say that all 3 of them have seen the films. They don't think of them as scary, they just like watching their dad pretend to be a vampire.
