This planting method works for all types of bulbs:
- Using a sharp, pointed hand trowel, dig a hole five times the depth of the bulb. - Next, fill the hole with enough of the removed soil so that the hole is three times the depth of the bulb. Backfilling the hole aerates the soil and allows for proper drainage. - Place the bulb in the hole and cover with the remainder of the removed soil.
