We all love the fabulous fashions on the show, and recently I got a chance to chat with the woman who makes it all come together. From wardrobe staples, to style inspirations, Girlfriends' costume designer Stacy Beverly dishes on what really makes the look. Shireese: What is the inspiration behind the choices you make for the ladies? Do the characters' personalities come into play when you're making the decisions? Stacy: Absolutely. It all starts with the visions from Mara, who's our creator. In her mind, she already had a direction that she wanted to go with these characters so she is definitely very inspiring. The personalities are a big, big factor - that along with the script requirements, the information that each actor gives, they all have something to bring to the table, as well as my creative ideas. It comes from so many different directions.
