Giuliana Rancic: I'm "Feeling Good" After Double Mastectomy

The E! News host says she's "happy to be home" and is catching up on her movie watching as she recovers from breast cancer surgery

Giuliana Rancic is back at home and recovering from Tuesday's breast cancer surgery. The double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery took about four hours, but Rancic is feeling optimistic about the results.

"I'm feeling good and happy to be back home," Rancic told E! News on Friday afternoon.

The TV host decided to undergo a double mastectomy after October's double lumpectomy failed to completely eradicate her cancer.

"At the end, all it came down to was choosing to live and not looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life," she told Today earlier this month.

On Friday, following the surgery, Rancic declared that she was "healthy" and that "surgery was a success."

"It's been tough, but I'm trying to stay strong and manage the pain," said Rancic, 37. "I have to say I have a newfound respect for women who have been through breast cancer and this surgery."

Rancic has been a trouper throughout her breast cancer ordeal, which began with the discovery of the disease during a routine mammogram in October. She even returned to work at E! News less than a week after her first surgery. But this time around, she's finally letting herself take some time off. According to her Twitter account Giuliana is spending her recovery catching up on the year's movies, like Drive starring Ryan Gosling.

"Every night is movie night in the Rancic household these days," she tweeted on Saturday with a smiley face.

We hope her hubby Bill Rancic is massaging her feet in between bites of popcorn!
