'Glee' Casts Hot New Male Lead

Chord Overstreet will join the cast when the hit show returns for its second season

We can hardly wait for the new season of Glee, to see all the high-wattage guest stars (John Stamos! Javier Bardem!) scheduled to appear. But now Fox's hit show is giving us another reason to get excited.

A fresh, young face will be singing his way into our hearts on the show's new episodes. Chord Overstreet, who has guest-starred on iCarly and appears in the pilot for ABC's upcoming series No Ordinary Family, has snagged a recurring role the musical show and will be playing Sam, a jock that Finn (Corey Monteith) takes under his wing. It's rumored that Overstreet's character starts out as Finn's protege, but soon begins to steal his thunder. Some say the actor/musician might even be a love interest for Kurt (played by the Emmy-nominated Chris Colfer).

The second season of Glee comes dancing back on Sept. 21 on Fox.
