Glee debuted in 2009 as a brand-new type of show, one that had never succeeded before: a musical-comedy set in a high school. Who would have thought that kids singing about their problems would strike a chord with so many viewers? The Fox show, of course, became an international hit -- and now, more than four years after its premiere, Glee is about to hit a milestone: the filming of its 100th episode!
Both fans and critics alike wondered how Glee would celebrate the big accomplishment. Fox soon revealed that viewers would have the opportunity to pick 10 classic Glee songs to be remixed and performed again on the special episode. But the next question was: Who would be singing them?
Creator Ryan Murphy announced that he has invited all of the original cast members back to take part in this milestone. Notably missing, of course, will be Cory Monteith, who tragically died at the age of 31 in July.
As for the rest the of the cast, everyone wondered if this reunion would include Dianna Agron, who was notably left out of the Monteith tribute episode that aired in October, as well as Heather Morris, who was written out of the show last season after announcing her real-life pregnancy.
Murphy began tweeting, one-by-one, announcements about who was returning -- and it included everyone from the original Glee club: Dianna, Heather, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., and Mark Salling, plus Season 1 guest star Kristin Chenoweth!
Once the news was announced, the cast and crew couldn't stop tweeting about their excitement.

"@MrRPMurphy: Kristin Chenoweth is IN for Glee's 100th! Love her!"Very excited.— Kristin Chenoweth (@KChenoweth) December 5, 2013
The question now remains: How will all of these returning cast members be written into one episode? Will they be returning to McKinley to watch Blaine (Darren Criss), Sam (Chord Overstreet), Artie (Kevin McHale), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and the new cast members take part in Nationals? Or will it be the long-awaited graduation? Will they all go to visit Rachel (Lea Michele), Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Santana (Naya Rivera) in NYC? Only time and the creative mind of Murphy will tell.
The 100th episode of Glee will air on March 18 at 8 p.m.
