When it comes to fall TV, are you gleeful, gleeming, glee'd up, and gleeking out? Then look no further -- we've got the offical Glee season 2 premiere video right here!
The video, centered around the Jay-Z/Alicia Keys anthem "Empire State of Mind," reveals that the New Directions will be traveling to New York City to compete in Nationals. (Even though they lost at Regionals. How does that work?) It also hints that this season will have a more contemporary repertoire, since the kids are fighting their reputation for "only singing show tunes and '80s pop." (Most of this season's songs are a mystery, although we know that the second episode will be Britney Spears-themed.)
Perhaps the most exciting thing about season 2 is that all the minor characters may finally get the screen time they deserve. Naya Rivera (bad-girl cheerleader Santana), Heather Morris (hilariously daft Brittany) and Mike O'Malley (Kurt's dad, who makes us cry with every monologue) will all be promoted to series regulars. We also noticed that Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) is rocking a new punk-goth look in the promos, which hopefully hints at awesome things.
Usual stars Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Finn (Cory Monteith) are featured in the video too, getting a little too personal while Rachel (Lea Michele) watches. Shouldn't Quinn be in labor by now?
While you ponder the mysteries of Glee, here's a bonus behind-the-scenes video of their latest photo shoot. The show's second season kicks off on Sept. 21.
