What to Expect on the Season Finale of 'Glee'

Gleeks, the end (of season 1!) is at hand -- are you ready to see the kids finally go for the trophy at Regionals?

You may not be an all-out, Gleeky romantic. Perhaps you’re a cynic about the whole singy-dancy phenomenon called Glee.  But you’d have to have a heart of stone not to feel a teeny catch in your throat when Finn (Corey Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele) lock eyes in in this clip from Glee’s season finale. The series, whose pilot episode burst into our living rooms waaay back in May 2009, closes out its first season on Tuesday (Fox, 8:59 p.m. ET) with several momentous events.

At Regionals, the New Directions kids will have their showdown with those wicked meanies in Vocal Adrenaline. Can they beat their super-group nemeses, even after Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) joins Olivia Newton John and Josh Groban at the judging table? On a show like this one -- celebrating the power of the underdog -- my guess is…yes.

The longest-running pregnancy on TV will end with the birth of Quinn’s (Dianna Agron) baby, and baby daddy Puck (Mark Salling) will be involved. So Quinn will trade one stigma (being a pregnant teen) for another (a teenaged single mom) -- allowing her to continue fitting in nicely with the social rejects of the glee club!

And as the clip reveals, the gang will once again break into the Journey canon that’s served them so well, this time with “Faithfully.”

“It’s a great episode,” Matthew Morrison (who plays Will Schuester) told eonline.com. “It’s a very big tearjerker.” We believe it -- get the tissues ready!
